Job Title:

Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager with telecommunications, broadband industry experience. This candidate will be responsible for the effective management of all designated projects including planning, scheduling, coordination of project deliverables and achievement of milestones. Fast paced environment working with a cross-functional project team including stakeholders, both internal and external team members and third party contractors.

  • Review site surveys of telecommunications & broadband industry facility equipment
  • Scheduling of and reporting milestone status
  • Proactively supervising and enforcing construction progress, quality standards, and project schedules, by providing written and accurate planning and support administering construction bid and invoice approval processes, including construction change orders in accordance with Quest policy
  • Reviewing and redlining construction drawings prior to release to general contractors
  • Working with general contractors to assure all materials and equipment are ordered timely to support the construction schedule
  • Verifying general contractors are complying to all Quest quality standards and specifications and completing tasks, including submittal of closeout documentation, in allotted timeframes
  • Resolving any field related issues impacting construction or integration
  • Work directly with the customer to provide comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that all jobs are documented and maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy.
  • Support sales team with revenue growth by providing technical advice and analysis.

 
Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of inside low voltage cabling including DMARK extensions and managing CPE installation coordination required.
  • Knowledge of construction services: Telco, power, fiber, basic construction, vendor equipment requirements.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point

 
Education & Experience:

  • Experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, plus 5+ years of Project Management or Account Management experience and 3+ years of relevant telecommunications or information technology experience including installation of equipment at customer premises and outside plant engineering/construction.
  • Strong conflict management skills and ability to make decisions which impact project financials and operations processes

Senior Sales Executive for Power Utility Division

Job Description
  • Quest Controls, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to secure new clients and projects in our Power Utility Division. The Senior Sales Executive will provide sales, account development, and related services primarily in support of monitoring and controlling critical infrastructure equipment deployed within the Utilities foot print. The geographical focus of the position will be the United States.
  • The position will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to sell equipment and services focused on providing proactive intuitive hardware and software, and will include monitoring of legislation and regulation, identification and prioritization of target accounts, identification of RFP timing, collection of competitive intelligence, and support of the capture and proposal development processes.
  • Of key importance will be the development of extensive personal relationships with target accounts and the early introduction of Quest products and services and subject matter experts. The position will work closely with Quest sales and marketing team and coordinate extensively with field service and subject matter experts. The primary measure of success for this position is incremental sales to new clients. The position will be part of the Power Utility Sales Team, and will report to Executive Vice President of Sales. This position requires approximately 45% travel.
  • Previous technical and/or sales expertise with monitoring and control equipment focused on CI, is required.

 

Responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining relationships with utility and third-party program administrator clients
  • Monitoring state legislative and regulatory changes and identifying resultant opportunities
  • Developing, qualifying and nurturing sales leads and playing a leadership role in pipeline development and tracking

Job Description

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for the ordering of various materials, supplies, and equipment and the follow through with vendors to ensure proper delivery/shipment. This position will also work on various projects related to purchasing and cost reduction. The Purchasing Clerk reports directly to the Purchasing Manager.

Job Title

Senior Database Architect/Administrator/Developer (MySQL)

As the Senior Database Architect/Administrator/Developer (MySQL), you will develop and support production MySQL databases. The MySQL DBA will also be responsible monitoring and optimizing MySQL database performance and capacity planning. Additionally, the MySQL Database Administrator/DBA will develop and support MySQL database replication and clustering, and plan and execute for database scalability.

In this role you will also work with application engineers, developers and the QA team as well as applications support teams in the maintenance and care of the Linux Network and MySQL infrastructure.

The position may travel occasionally to the client site with the team. Client sites are in North America and South America, so you will need to have or to be able to obtain a US passport to travel by air with no issues.

The position will be based of Quest Controls headquarters located in Palmetto, FL.

Requirements
