Quest Introduces TELSEC® 800 for Monitoring & Control of Remote Site Cabinets

Palmetto, Florida - Quest Controls, Inc. is pleased to introduce the TELSEC® 800 for Remote Site Cabinet Monitoring and Control. The TELSEC® 800 performs all your remote site cabinet monitoring and control applications in a single product.

“The TELSEC® 800 offers a lower cost, compact, integrated monitoring solution for the thousands of existing cabinets with legacy equipment in the Telecom Industry where telecom providers have little or no visibility,” states Stuart Brager, Executive VP of Marketing & Sales. “Its built-in battery monitoring algorithm enables telecom providers to make intelligent dispatch decisions because, during a commercial power failure, it predicts the batteries capacity and time remaining until low voltage disconnect.”

The TELSEC® 800 is compact, rack or door mountable, and performs environmental monitoring, intrusion alarming and door access control, power plant, battery, and telephony equipment monitoring in each remote site cabinet. Typical cabinet alarms include high and low temperature, intrusion, commercial power fail, rectifier, fan, and fuse failures, low voltage disconnect, and more. TELSEC® 800 transports TL1 alarm messages, ASCII text, or alarms can be sent via contact closure.

2-way communications with the remote cabinet can be accomplished via modem, 2-way RS232, or TCP/IP Ethernet connection. TELSEC®’s single product solution helps customers eliminate system downtime, reduce visits to the sites, reduce energy costs, extend the life of critical operating equipment such as fans, air conditioners, and batteries, and replace multiple electromechanical components.

Quest Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets a complete family of remote surveillance products for the telecommunications industry. These products provide alarm performance, monitoring and control of a telecommunication facility’s critical operating and telephony equipment to maintain and ensure each facility’s smooth and continuous operation.
