TELSEC®
1500/2000 RM/WM PROVIDES
ETHERNET TCP/IP CONNECTIVITY &
SUPPORTS SNMP PROTOCOL
Palmetto, Florida - Quest Controls, Inc. is pleased to introduce the TCP/IP Ethernet Connectivity Option to its TELSEC® 1500/2000 RM/WM family of Remote Site Controllers. The TELSEC® 1500/2000 performs all your remote site monitoring and control applications in one single product, from HVAC and environmental control, to access control and intrusion alarming, and power plant, battery, generator, telephony equipment, tower light monitoring, and heat exchanger control and monitoring. The TELSEC® 1500/2000 is a state-of-the-art microprocessor-based system that enables direct or remote multiple application monitoring capability to protect remote facilities including Huts, CEVs, CECs, CUEs, WICs, Cabinets, smaller Central Offices, and Switching or Data Centers. TELSEC® s single solution helps customers eliminate system downtime, reduce visits to the sites, reduce energy costs, extend the life of critical operating equipment such as air conditioners and batteries, and replace multiple electromechanical components.
The TCP/IP Ethernet option offers telecom customers another way to transmit alarms from the remote site in addition to dial-up modems, secure lease line communication, and serial data links, states Stuart Brager, Quest Controls Inc.s Executive VP of Marketing & Sales. The TCP/IP Ethernet Option runs 10BaseT 2 waycommunications between the TELSEC® Controller in the remote site and an alarm or maintenance center. The TELSEC® sends alarms and data from the remote site to the Alarm Center. An operator in an alarm or maintenance center can interrogate the TELSEC ® and upload program updates and changes without having to visit the remote site. This TELSEC ® Ethernet option also supports SNMP V1, V2C, & V3 Protocols, standards in the telecom industry, along with Telnet, HTTP, UDP, PPP, and FTP.
Quest Controls TELSEC® 1500/2000 RM/WM family provides its users with the ability to directly and/or remotely monitor and control HVAC systems and other environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, smoke, toxic and explosive gas, high water, intrusion, and generator status. The TELSEC® can also monitor a remote facilitys telephony equipment, including MUXs, fiber optics, rectifiers, fuses, fans, cable pressure, airflow, and enables remote programmability of card control access to avoid costly site visits and re-keying. The TELSEC ® facilitates the plant manager in making strategic decisions concerning his network during a power fail by monitoring the plants battery capacity, determining and reporting the capacity remaining in each respective battery string.
Quest Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets a complete family of remote surveillance products for the telecommunications industry. These products provide alarm performance, monitoring and control of a telecommunication facilitys critical operating and telephony equipment to maintain and ensure each facilitys smooth and continuous operation.
