TELSEC® 1500/2000 RM/WM PROVIDES MULTI-DOOR ACCESS CONTROL
Palmetto, Florida - Quest Controls, Inc. is pleased to introduce Multi-Door Access Control to its TELSEC® 1500/2000 RM/WM family of Remote Site Controllers. The TELSEC® 1500/2000 performs all your remote site monitoring and control applications in one single product.
The Multi-Door feature enables telecom customers to control and monitor up to four different entrances into a remote site, central office, switching or data center, states Stuart Brager, Quest Controls Inc.s Executive VP of Marketing & Sales. Offering a single source of alarms in the remote site and additionally controlling up to four doors both lowers the capital cost for customers as well as simplifies their operation. This multi-door control feature fits well in huts and smaller offices where there are multiple entrances, co location sites with separate doors, and remote sites with separate generator rooms. In addition, it can be utilized in locations consisting of a grouping of smaller structures with single doors.
The TELSEC® logs all attempted door openings and entries into the remote site including keypad code and proximity card numbers. When internal staff or outside contractors need to be added or deleted from accessing a remote site, these changes can be made remotely without having to visit and re-key the site. All these logs and codes are easily accessible remotely, thereby reducing the necessary visits to the remote sites.
In addition to multi-door access control, the TELSEC® 1500/2000 addresses HVAC and environmental control, intrusion alarming, and power plant, battery, generator, telephony equipment, tower light monitoring, and heat exchanger control and monitoring. The TELSEC® 1500/2000 is an intelligent system that enables direct or remote multiple application monitoring capability to protect remote facilities including Huts, CEVs, CECs, CUEs, WICs, Cabinets, smaller Central Offices, and Switching or Data Centers. TELSEC®s single solution helps customers eliminate system downtime, reduce visits to the sites, reduce energy costs, extend the life of critical operating equipment such as air conditioners and batteries, and replace multiple electromechanical components.
Environmental monitoring and control by the TELSEC® covers temperature, humidity, smoke, toxic and combustible gases, and high water as well as intrusion and generator status. The TELSEC® can also monitor a remote facilitys telephony equipment, including MUXs, switches, fiber optic equipment, rectifiers, fuses, fans, cable pressure, airflow, and enables remote programmability of card control access to avoid costly site visits and re-keying. The TELSEC® facilitates the plant manager in making strategic decisions concerning his network during a power fail by monitoring the plants battery capacity, and then calculating and reporting the capacity remaining in each respective
battery string.
Quest Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets a complete family of remote surveillance products for the telecommunications industry. These products provide alarm performance, monitoring and control of a telecommunication facilitys critical operating and telephony equipment to maintain and ensure each facilitys smooth and continuous operation.
