Combined Gas Monitors for Vaults & RT’s

[ Download 2 Page Brochure (132KB) ]
• Monitors Toxic & Combustible Gases
• Accessible Real-time Gas Level Value (ppm)
• Field Adjustable Alarm Thresholds (ppm)
• Integrated Vent Fan Control
• Audible & Visual LED Alarm Status

The CGSM100 and CGSM300 are designed to provide safe, reliable, and long life
monitoring and alarming for toxic and combustible gases for your underground
vaults, CEVs, CEMHs, CUEs, CECs, and WICs.
• Monitors Carbon Monoxide (CO), Methane (HC), and Hydrogen (H2) (optional) Gases.
• Provides separate relays for sensor failure, carbon monoxide, combustible, hydrogen
(optional), and ventilation fan plus remote indicator output.
• Provides audible and visual alarms.
• Alarm thresholds adjustable 0 to 90% in the field via RS232 port.
• Powered by –48VDC ensures gases are being monitored during commercial AC power failure.
• CGSM100 comes in a stand-alone package and connects with the TELSEC® controllers.
• CGSM300 provides direct replacement for Sierra Monitor 2400 Vault Gas Monitor.
• CGSM300 supplies power to optional smoke detector as well as pass-thru alarms via
24-pin Amphenol Connector.

Key Features
• LED indicators exhibit alarm and sensor status for each sensor.
• Fault status LED indication turns on when a sensor becomes defective.
• Automatic reset when gas levels fall below alarm thresholds.
• Reset button silences audible alarm.
• Test button simulates alarm condition and performs system test diagnostics.
• Communicate via RS232 port using standard, off-the-shelf
terminal emulation software, such as, Procomm® or Hyperterminal®.

Carbon Monoxide Sensor (CO): 25 to 500 ppm operating range; factory set to 35 ppm.
